Henry County Commissioners approve $600,000 in ARPA money to Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity

In its meeting Tuesday, Aug. 1, the Henry County Board of Commissioners approved a sub-recipient agreement with Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity for $600,000 to help with its home ownership program.

This will be paid for using American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds and comes in response to a national housing affordability crisis that has increased significantly due to rising costs, price growth outstripping wage growth, and a supply shortage of affordable housing.
