HAMPTON — During the summer of 1999, Joey Logano competed in his first two races in Atlanta Motor Speedway’s Thursday Thunder summer series in the Bandolero Bandits Division. And after Sunday’s race at AMS, he’s a two-time NASCAR Cup Series winner at the track where he honed his racing skills some 25 years ago.

In Sunday’s Quaker State 400 Available at Walmart NASCAR Cup series race, Logano and February Atlanta race winner Daniel Suarez were side-by-side during an overtime restart.
