COLUMBUS — The only thing that stood between the Locust Grove Lady Wildcats and their historic state championship was weather and about 48 hours as they captured the title 4-0 Monday.

“It’s these girls,” a breathless Locust Grove head coach Chris Davis said. “We got talented girls that want to play and we’re not a perfect team by no means but we darn sure made the other team have to be perfect to beat us.”
