breast cancer awareness

Editor’s Note: Today’s edition of the Herald is dedicated to the courageous women in our area who are battling breast cancer or who have fought the battle and won. You’ll read several of their stories in these pages and on our website.

This annual Read Pink paper, in recognition of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is also designed to remind women throughout the community of the importance of early detection and preventative measures in treating breast cancer. It is a message that never diminishes in its importance.
