McDonough adjusts garage sale ordinance

MCDONOUGH – The McDonough City Council issued a proclamation in its meeting on Sept. 16 announcing that it has signed on with the statewide campaign Georgia Reads to promote reading among young people. The city was invited to join the initiative in June at the annual convention held by the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA).

This statewide initiative is a collaborative effort between GMA, Georgia City Solutions, Malcolm Mitchell’s Share the Magic Foundation, and counties across the state. The city joined the initiative with the hope to bring back joy in reading and to normalize literacy while making it a fun, community-wide effort.
