UPDATE: Incumbent Sheriff Scandrett Leads in County Sheriff Race

McDONOUGH – Henry County residents will elect their sheriff tonight during the Nov. 5 General Election. As of the last day of early voting in Georgia, data from the Georgia Secretary of State’s website shows that 60% of Henry County active voters cast their vote before Election Day.

Incumbent Sheriff Reginald B. Scandrett is running for re-election as the Democratic candidate. Current Newton County Sheriff's Office Deputy John Lee Redlinger is running against Scandrett as the Republican candidate. This race is the only contested county-wide race on the Henry County General Election ballot.
