STOCKBRIDGE — The Stockbridge City Council approved a request to rezone 13 acres to allow for the construction of a townhouse development at its meeting Sept. 9. The land, which is along Ga. Highway 42 North and near Eagles Landing Parkway, has been rezoned from General Commercial (C-2) to Multiple-Family Residential (MFR).

The proposed townhouse development will offer 100 units each with a minimum of 1,800 square feet. There will be two-story and three-story units available for purchase and no more than 10% of the units can be rentals, per the approved conditions. The development will also include a pool, clubhouse, covered pavilion and an outdoor grilling area with a fire pit.
