New Henry County School Superintendent Dr. John Pace III was sworn in during the Henry County Board of Education’s work session Monday afternoon. The Henry County Board of Education named Pace as its sole finalist for the superintendent position on July 22 and unanimously approved his appointment on Aug. 6. His first day on the job was Sept. 3.

“I am incredibly honored to join Henry County Schools as superintendent to work alongside this award-winning board of education,” Pace said during the work session. “I am enthusiastic about the journey ahead and committed to working collaboratively with each and every one of you to ensure our students receive the highest quality education and support.”
