In advance of the Sept. 7 and 8 NASCAR race weekend and as part of the Protect Your Melon: Buckle Up safety campaign, NASCAR Cup Series driver Ross Chastain visited Southern Crescent Technical College in Griffin Friday. The free event also featured various demonstrations about highway safety and activities by public safety agencies. “It was an incredible day of learning about highway safety and we appreciate Ross for sharing his passion for safe driving with our students and community,” an SCTC statement read.
