CONYERS – The BioLab fire and resulting impact on the community were described as “completely unacceptable” in a statement by the chairman of the U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board.
The board released an update Nov. 22 to its ongoing investigation of the BioLab plant fire that took place in Conyers on Sept. 29. The report details the events that took place around the fire that released a plume of toxic smoke spreading from Rockdale to parts of metro-Atlanta.
