NCAA Football: Birmingham Bowl-Georgia Tech at Vanderbilt

Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King (10) passes against Vanderbilt during the first half of the Birmingham Bowl at Protective Stadium on Dec. 27, 2024.

While it ended with a bowl game loss, Brent Key's second season as head football coach at Georgia Tech was largely a success.

The Yellow Jackets went 7-6, went to a bowl game for the second straight season and nearly upset rival Georgia in a wild, eight-overtime game in the regular-season finale. That came on the heels of going 7-6 in Key's first season in charge.
