Stockbridge approves impact fees

STOCKBRIDGE — The city of Stockbridge now contains a special service district (SSD) after the City Council voted Oct. 29 to pass an ordinance creating the district in the city limits.

A special service district is a tax district formed by a government body that provides a service within the designated area. The SSD within the city of Stockbridge will apply only to commercial and industrial properties, as well as private utilities. The ordinance exempts homestead properties, including all single-family residences, from being included in the SSD.
