STOCKBRIDGE – Patricia O’Sullivan had her annual mammogram in February of 2023. The radiologist saw something on the scan, and after another mammogram, an ultrasound, and a biopsy, the diagnosis was clear: Stage 1 breast cancer.
“I was very impressed with the sense of urgency from the staff, and really all of the care teams,” said O’Sullivan, who was understandably shocked by the diagnosis, but floored by the support. “You could tell they were a good team, very used to working together and communicating. The fact that the breast center, my oncologist, and plastic surgeon were all in the same area and aligned was wonderful too.”
