MCDONOUGH — Henry County government held a swearing-in ceremony Monday naming former Police Chief Mark Amerman as the county’s public safety director.

Also sworn into new positions were former Deputy Chief Mike Ireland, who was promoted to police chief, and Major Jason Bolton, who was named deputy chief.
