McDONOUGH — Henry County Superior Court Judge John A. “Trea” Pipkin III has been named to the Georgia Court of Appeals by Gov. Brian Kemp.

Pipkin, of McDonough, also served as solicitor general of McDonough from 2012 to 2018, presides over Henry County Veterans Treatment Court and is an adjunct law professor at Gordon College. Previously, Pipkin served as assistant district attorney for the Flint Circuit District Attorney’s Office and an adjunct professor at Emory School of Law.
