MCDONOUGH — The Henry County School System is nearing its goal of having one school resource officer for every 1,000 students.
During a presentation at a Nov. 11 school board work session, Henry County Schools School Leadership Officer Mary Ann Suddeth said in the coming weeks, three more SROs are expected to be added to bring the total number to 39 school resource officers system-wide. The school system has 43,000 students and partners with the Henry County Police Department on the SRO program.
