Henry County Chamber of Commerce volunteers stuffed gift bags Tuesday for the Henry County Schools Educator Launch, which was scheduled to begin Thursday and conclude Wednesday, July 24. In addition to the gift bags, the Chamber will sponsor a lunch for new educators July 22 and 23. The majority of new HCS employees are required to attend Educator Launch — including teachers, school psychologists, graduation coaches, mental health and wellness facilitators, media center specialists and social workers. This year, the school system is welcoming about 600 new teachers. The Educator Launch orientation includes staff networking opportunities, device and credential distribution, key platforms such as HenryConnect, classroom management and effective strategies, code of ethics, district leader introductions and more.
