Early Voting Coming Up For District 4 Runoff
MCDONOUGH — Early voting for the Dec. 3 Henry County County Board of Commissioners District 4 runoff election begins Friday, Nov. 22 and continues through Wednesday, Nov. 27.
The runoff pits current District 4 Commissioner Michael Price against former District 4 Commissioner Vivian Thomas.
Commissioners appointed Price on March 28 after the resignation of Thomas, who stepped down from the District 4 post to run for county commission chair. Thomas was unsuccessful in her bid against County Commissioner Chair Carlotta Harrell in the Democratic primary this spring.
In a special election held during the Nov. 5 General Election, Price and Thomas were the top vote-getters among five candidates.
Price received 5,211 votes (25.38%) while Thomas was second with 5,018 votes (24.44%). John Blount took third with 4,774 votes (23.25%), Phedra “PT” Thomas fourth with 2,921 votes (14.23%) and Robert Kolpak fifth with 2,606 votes (12.69%).

Ballot drop boxes will be available at the Merle Conference Center, Stockbridge, and the Henry County Elections and Registration Office at 1550 S. Zack Hinton Parkway, during early voting hours.
