STOCKBRIDGE — The Locust Grove Lady Wildcats locked up the No. 1 seed in the Region 4-AAAAA tournament Thursday with a 2-1 victory over Woodland.

Locust Grove’s Martina Maloch and Woodland’s Mallie Brown replicated the pitcher’s duel that was seen when the two pitchers met in a 1-0 Locust Grove win on Sept. 1. After two innings, Brown drove in the game’s first run with an RBI double to give the Lady Wolfpack a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning.
